BIBLE-BASED LEARNING

At FAITH Academy, we believe Christian education is critical in learning.  With this in mind, we have chosen to utilize a curriculum that has been used world-wide for more than forty years with amazing results.

A.C.E. Curriculum uses Bible memory thoughout the subjects and 60 character traits are repeatedly taught in each level.  In the High School levels, subjects such as:  New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey, Missions, and Life of Christ are available for elective courses.

INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING

 

Accelerated Christian Education PACEs are designed with your child in mind.  Each child is unique and learns at their own pace and style.  With A.C.E., your child is diagnostically tested when registered with FAITH Academy to evaluate where their level is in each subject.  Then, a customized curriculum is prescribed to help your child achieve maximized learning.

Each subject for a year is based on 12 PACEs.  Each PACE includes reading text and questions.  There are three Checkups which act as mini tests.  One Self Test and then a final PACE Test.  To proceed to the next PACE, the required passing percentage is 80%.  The philosophy of A.C.E is mastery of skills and knowledge.  If a child is unable to recall a minimum of 80%, then the child has not mastered the skill and may struggle further on in learning.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

FAITH Academy endeavours to abide by the Ministry of Education standards for High School students to work towards all the mandatory and elective credits necessary to have a diploma comparative to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.  Our aim is to help guide and record credits to provide transcripts that will be accepted with universities and colleges for post-secondary education.  A well recorded transcript is a prize for any student seeking post-secondary education.
